In October 2017, I became part of an amazing team, and during the last summer in Zanjan, I was heavily involved in various rehearsals, one of which was for “Recent Experiences.” This play, written by Amirreza Koohestani and directed by Mahshid Aghakhani, was showcased at Zanjan’s provincial theater festival.

The play’s aim is to engage the audience in the stories of ordinary people. Koohestani stresses his interest in portraying humanity in its raw form, without the need for artistic interpretations or commentaries. The simplicity and calmness in his theater define his approach. “Recent Experiences” unfolds tales spanning four generations within a single family, depicting the lives of common people and their everyday experiences against the backdrop of significant events throughout the century.

I had the opportunity to portray Andrew, the male lead character. Our performance received several awards at the 29th Zanjan provincial theater festival, including Best Director, Best Female Actor, Best Male Actor, Sound Design, Scene Design, Makeup Design, and more.
