Mortician

Mortician is a 2025 Canadian drama directed by Abdolreza Kahani. Mojtaba, an Iranian émigré in Canada employed at a firm that performs ritual washing of the dead according to Islamic burial tradition. Just as his employer informs him the business is closing and suggests he return to Iran, Mojtaba crosses paths with Jana, an exiled Iranian pop singer planning to take her own life as a public protest. A social media act meant to alert her followers to state repression in Iran.

In this film I played the role of Hamid who had an exchange company.

Kahani made the film using nothing but an iPhone, without any additional camera or sound gear.
